Support Messages for British Tourism Week
Ola Fagbohun
Last year I spent many a stay-cation exploring the South-East and was reminded what a diverse, intriguing and wonderful country I live in. I hope this week and indeed, through-out the year, many more people take the time to explore the world around them. They will be surprised and delighted.
The Feathered Nest Country Inn staff
The Feathered Nest Country Inn lends its support for British Tourism Week. Tourism is important not only to local attractions, suppliers and providers, but for the country as a whole. We will be hosting a Jazz evening in support of BTW and will be publicising BTW across our social network sites on Twitter and Facebook as well as our website.
All the very best to all involved.

Thank you for this fantastic initiative, and particularly for promoting Britain's seaside heritage. The Mo celebrates the fascinating heritage of Sheringham on the East coast of England, and we are immensely proud of our historic ties with the seaside and its people.

What a fabulous event to kick start the 2011 season. Here at Westdene in Skegness we are looking forward to a cracking time both with the pier and the town, and have already recieved our occupancy target.
Skegness, It's SO much more......

As owners of a 4 star family run, themed holiday park in Scarborough; we appreciate the work and dedication that is involved with thousands of like minded tourism businesses around the country, and the support we receive from events such as British Tourism Week.
We are honoured to be a part of British Tourism, in what can be seem like difficult times, but if all join together to support events such as British Tourism Week, and continue to be imaginative and pro-active with what we each have to offer - the future is very bright for British Tourism.

What a great opportunity - our country has so much to offer for all ages and interests and we need to promote it for all to enjoy. With your help I'm sure the profile of our industry and we are proud to be a part of it. We are also pleased that Prince William & Kate Middleton have chosen to begin their life together on our beautiful Isle of Anglesey.

I supported BTW last year and will do so again this year. Tourism is important for everyone, not just those in the tourism business. I feel so strongly about this that, last year I also joined the committee of the Worcester Tourism Assocciation, to promote Worcester as much as possible.
I have just written to my local MP to invite him to join us.
Jo.
Daniel Dobranski, Kingston College

Our level 3 BTEC travel and tourism students are visiting Blackpool on an overnight residential on 27/4/2011 to support British tourism and to give the students an insight into one of Britain's top UK tourist destinations. This trip will also encompass a lecture at the Blackpool Pleasure Beach academy as well as giving the students an opportunity to visit some of Blackpool's famous attractions.
Margaret, Brighton Scenic Flights
What better place to tour than Britain, let's welcome our visitors from around the world and the UK too. All the best to the organisers of this event from Brighton scenic flights.
Anne Marie Morris, MP for Newton Abbot
It is with great pleasure that I give my support to British Tourism Week 2011. This is a great opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of the tourism industry to the British economy and to collectively look forwards to the challenges and huge opportunities that lay ahead for this growing sector.
In my constituency of Newton Abbot, around 30% of people work in a tourist-facing industry. We have beautiful landscapes, a rich history and tradition, and can offer varied entertainment right across the South West - come and see for yourself!
Tourism is the third biggest export earner in the UK. British Tourism Week 2011 provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate what we have to offer.
A big thank you to all those who have made British Tourism Week 2011 happen and I am sure there will be many of us enjoying the events across the country to support and recognise this most valuable industry.

We are delighted to support British Tourism Week and will be publicising the week across our network of regional websites, as well as on Twitter, Facebook etc.
Britain has so much to offer visitors, and those taking a 'stay-cation' here in Britain, that the only problem is deciding where to start!
We are absolutely in love with the region where we live (Norfolk), and can honestly say there is nowhere else in the World to rival what we have here.
Anneliese Gray, Halifax Visitor Centre & Art Gallery
Halifax Visitor Centre & Art Gallery are pleased to be supporting British Tourism Week. We will be hosting a Tea & Coffee Morning on Saturday 12th March 2011 to start the week.
We also aim to have a guess the number of sweets in the sweetie jar running all week with proceeds made going to our local hospice. Childrens colouring sheets in the gallery will have a British theme and a display will be made of all british souveniers.
Jackie Crawford, Liverpool John Lennon airport TIC
We are supporting this event and will be hosting events at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, welcoming visitors not only to Liverpool but to Britain.
