What is British Tourism Week (BTW)?
British Tourism Week is a week-long promotion to raise awareness of tourism both to and within Britain, to improve its' competitiveness and to raise quality standards and skills in Britain.

Who is organising British Tourism Week?
VisitBritain is co-ordinating this week-long promotion, with the support of The Tourism Society, Tourism Alliance, Wales Tourism Alliance, Scottish Tourism Forum, British Hospitality Association, ABTA the Travel Association and Britain's national and regional tourist boards, as well as Best of Britain Events - please see Governance for further details.
Who is British Tourism Week aimed at?
BTW has a business-to-business and consumer focus for those involved in domestic and/or inbound tourism to Britain.
How do I get involved?
You can participate as a:
- organiser of your own tourism industry event under the BTW banner
- delegate or speaker at the various conferences, seminars, workshops and other events
- sponsor of one of the events during BTW
- exhibitor at the Best of Britain & Ireland Travel Trade Forum
- visitor at the Best of Britain & Ireland consumer show

Can I use the British Tourism Week branding?
This will be supplied to all participating industry events upon successful application. In addition, it may be used on your own website to link to the BTW website.

Why is BTW concerned only with domestic and inbound tourism?
BTW was conceived by its' supporting organisations to raise awareness of tourism to and within Britain, to improve its' competitiveness and to raise quality standards and skills in Britain. These organisations do not have a remit with regard to outbound travel from Britain.
