Kings and Castles takes you around the centre of the city, passing the cathedral, Great Hall and site of King Charles II’s royal palace. Mitres and Mortarboards follows the River Itchen before passing Wolvesey Castle, Winchester College, Jane Austen’s house and the Cathedral Close.

There will be displays about: * The life of Pocahontas until her death and burial at St George's Church in Gravesend. * General Gordon of Khartoum and how he helped and influenced the lives of local residents. * Charles Dickens, who spent some of his life living in the area. * The River Thames and it defence heritage in Gravesend. * Gravesham's picturesque villages and country parks and their history. During the week there will be the opportunity to visit St George's Church, the final resting place of Pocahontas. Visitors can book their visit to St George's Church by calling Towncentric on 01474 337600. The exhibition will give visitors a taster of some of the events and attractions showcased during our Discover Gravesham Festival (22nd May - 6th June)
