We design and make unusual English quirky Teapots which we sell throughout the World. The Pottery has been established since 1978 and continue to produce unique Teapots in the rural Village of Debenham Suffolk. Teapots can be seen being made and painted most weekdays by Carol and Jill who have been with us for over 20 years, and many visitors come from all over the world to see the Teapots. We also have a small Tearoom serving tea from our own Teapots as well as homemade cakes and scones. There is a small Paint your Own Pottery Studio where people of all ages can come to paint a pot. This is a long standing sustainable business owned by dedicated people with loyal staff. |

Presentations will drive home the message that Bedfordshire is well placed to make far more of its geographical position and wealth of superb attractions, events, cultural and natural and built landscape to grow the Visitor Economy with particular focus on using the Olympic Games to galvanise partnership working and political support.
Guests will enjoy Afternoon Tea in the ancesteral home of the Duke and Duchess of Bedford where the 7th Duchess, Anna Maria Russell is credited with starting this tradition, now synonymous around the world as an integral part of British culture. Hat making is one of Luton's oldest industries giving the local football team its nickname "The Hatters" and the term "mad as a hatter" comes from workers being affected by the solvents used in the process of hat making. A Luton manufacturer will be providing the head gear for our "mad hatters" to join in with the spirit of the event and create some great photo opportunities. |
